BUG with slide up and down effects

Description
I am using the slide up and down effects.
It works in firefox but not in IE.
I have it setup, when click on a button, it slide over the text.
But in IE, it slides underneath the text.
Is it a problematic code on my part or jquery.

At this point it's time to chalk this up as a duplicate. If for some reason that isn't the case please provide a test case and reopen the ticket.
Can you provide a test case? I have seen problems with absolute and relatively positioned items in and around the sliding animation like #1831. So far we haven't found a cure for this IE bug.
