Issue in IE8 browser

Description
We are using YUI(popup) and Jquery(slider) in web application
In IE8 browser YUI popup is not working properly and found that
there is function call Jquery bindReady()
jQuery.event.add( window, "load", jQuery.ready );
is causing the problem in IE8
If we remove the above call IE7 popup is not working properly.
Please provide me your valuable inputs to reslove this
