Description

Hi,

I am not sure whether this is the correct forum to post this issue.

But I would like to bring this issue to the attention of JQuery team.

Scenerio - I am using Digitialspaghetti Password Strength Meter plugin. Everything works fine untill I have a <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-W3CDTD HTML 4.01 TransitionalEN" "http:www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> in the html page. With this link, the initial color of the password strength meter do not show up more than 1 character width. This issue can be easily replicated by using a simple html having a passowrd field and having a call jQuery('#pwdfieldId').pstrength() importing the 'digitialspaghetti.password.min.js'.

Note - I am using 'jquery-1.2.6.min.js'. I am not sure of the milestone.

I appolosise if this is not related to JQuery.

Regards,

Korlam.
