The bug then, given that docs.jquery.com is obsolete content, is that clicking documentation takes the user to docs.jquery.com - there should not be links on jquery.com to obsolete content.

This should be fixed with an update tonight. Sorry but we're just between updates on a bunch of sites!

Thanks, much appreciated! I just wanted to point it out because I have reported similar "incorrect" links bugs before and was similarly told that the content was obsolete or "will soon be replaced", yet they remained in place for a very long time. Obviously the functionality of jquery itself is of utmost importance, however I think it is also critically important that the functionality of the jquery.com website is kept up-to-date and that it provides accurate information.

@fastfasterfastest, we're mainly limited by the number of volunteers we have helping us with getting these new sites up. If you've got some time to help with fixing things I know we can find some things for you to do. Documentation is definitely important, if we don't do it right then people report bugs on things that aren't bugs. :P
The documentation folks hang out on #jquery-content on IRC if you're interested in pitching in.

If you can join us on IRC, please do - if not, I can follow up over e-mail to give you some context and the lay of the land, etc. Thanks!

I have been trying to help out by reporting issues I have encountered. I would be happy to help out more if possible, in particular if time and skillsets allow. I'll contact ajpiano if I can find his/her email address.
docs.jquery.com is obsolete content, please refer to api.jquery.com.
