"attribute ends with" broken in 1.8.x

Description
I think there's a bug since 1.8.x.
Following fiddle works fine in 1.7.2.
Will not work in 1.8.2.
Tested with Opera for Windows.

1.7.2 works
1.8.2 does not.
Uncaught exception: Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: button:[id$="_copy"]
