jQuery 1.8.0 does not add text labels to buttons in jQuery UI dialog

Description
I ran into the issue when switching from jquery 1.8rc1 to 1.8.0.
Text labels are not add to buttons in a jQuery UI dialog.
Example, jQuery 1.8.0 and jQuery UI 1.8.22 (button labels are not added):

Why is this closed and marked as invalid? It very much is valid. This seems like a major issue to me. I've reverted back to jQuery 1.7.x.

It's invalid because it's not a jQuery core bug. Upgrade to jQuery UI 1.8.23.
Thanks for submitting a ticket to the jQuery bug tracker. Although the issue experienced looks like it's due to a 1.8 core issue, I would suggest chasing this up instead on the jQuery UI bug tracker http://bugs.jqueryui.com/ as there may be compatibility fixes required on their end. If they're able to help you reduce it down to a specific core issue, please feel free to open up a new ticket with that and we'll be happy to help further.
