#12189 closed bug (invalid)

posting lots of form data.

Priority: undecided Milestone: None
Component: unfiled Version: 1.7.2

Description

When posting serialized form data with quite a big form, which contains divs, hidden inputs, a fieldset and a table (don't know if all are related), the url is contaminated with %5Bobject%20Object%5D so the url looks like: http://localhost/path/to/controller/%5Bobject%20Object%5D There is supposed to be an id number. Post parameters seems ok.

Rolled back to 1.7.1 and code works. Also happens on 1.8rc1.

Here is the code used:

 var postData = $("form").serialize();

            $.post($("form").attr("action"), postData , function (data) { ...

Tried also converting that post call to ajax, same effect. Sorry for not putting any reduced cases, leaving to vacation..=)
