Error during invocation of jQuery.css specifically using the background-repeat CSS rule

Description

Whenever we call jQuery's css method with the background-repeat CSS rules we get an error:

  • $("#test").css({ backgroundRepeat: 'repeat-x' }) --> style="background-repeat: repeat no-repeat;"
  • $("#test").css({ backgroundRepeat: 'repeat-y' }) --> style="background-repeat: no-repeat repeat;"
  • $("#test").css({ backgroundRepeat: 'repeat' }) --> style="background-repeat: repeat repeat;"
  • $("#test").css({ backgroundRepeat: 'no-repeat' }) --> style="background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat;"

We get the same results using the two-argument format of the css method as well.

In all cases, we get the following error in the console (when just typing in these calls directly in the console):

  • line: 6725
  • message: "'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'name.replace( rupper, "-$" )')"
  • sourceId: 5179526976
  • sourceURL: "http://localhost/cmp/assets/js/jquery.js"

We also get this behavior when we use jQuery 1.7.1. We have not tested this with any other versions of jQuery.
