Incorrect $(window).width() with 1.7.1 version

Description
$(window).width reports the wrong value for browser windows. It gets stuck at a certain minimum, when the window width is obviously much less.

Please follow the bug reporting guidlines and use jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
