IE8 click and trigger access denied

The following code fails with an "access denied" javascript error, using click(), trigger(), or default javascript click().

$('#photo').change(function(e) {
					$('#photoHolder').empty().delay(15000).html('<img id="currPhoto" border="none" height="100" width="80" src=""/>');
					$('#currPhoto').attr("src", "getImage.cfm?ssoid=0118999");
			}), 2000);
