document.ready() does not fire with Chrome

Description

I've a simple script like:

$(document).ready(function() { alert('hello!"); });

When this script is appearing in a combination of:

*inside an iframe

*with Chrome version 14

*on a web site with https

then the function is not called. The same thing works with FireFox 3.6 and the same script works locally (with an url of http://localhost....).

The equivalent YUI's YAHOO.util.Event.onDOMReady(....) works even with Chrome.

Thanks for submitting a ticket to the jQuery Bug Tracker. Could you please provide us with a complete test case (either on jsFiddle or otherwise as this involves local behaviour) that we can use to verify/confirm the behaviour you're experiencing. Thanks.

Because we get so many tickets, we often need to return them to the initial reporter for more information. If that person does not reply within 14 days, the ticket will automatically be closed, and that has happened in this case. If you still are interested in pursuing this issue, feel free to add a comment with the requested information and we will be happy to reopen the ticket if it is still valid. Thanks!
