#45 fixed Empty jQuery Object as Context john
Description

Where the following throws an error in Win FF, Win IE 6.0, and Safari (only ones tested).

$('div', $('#nodiv1')).html('Div was modified');

All the errors are similar to the following Safari error:

Value undefined (result of expression ret[i].getElementsByTagName) is not object. http://jquery.com/src/jquery-1.0a.js Line: 588

#46 fixed .hide() appears to be broken? john
Description

I can no longer get anything hidden using 1.0a

e.g. $('#jq').find('div').hide();

and code that worked on the compressed version I had previously (Built Fri May 12 13:01:23 2006) no longer works - nothing hidden on page load, no error reported, just doesn't do anything (except show what it shouldn't by default).

The example page is here: http://www.plantdocs.biz/hideshow.htm

The outcome is different, I discovered when preparing the page, between IE and FF.

#47 fixed Problems with .parent() john
Description

I can find the parent:

$("#foo").parent();

I can find the ID of the current object:

$("#foo").get(0).id;

How do I find the ID of the parent? This doesn't work:

$("#foo").parent().get(0).id;
