jquery throws exception when loaded into the page from a script tag

jQuery's current browser support is as follows:

  • Chrome Current - 1
  • Safari 3+
  • Firefox 3.6.x, 4.0.x, 5.0.x
  • IE 6,7,8,9

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
