jquery.clone() not working in ie - not considering as html element

Additionally, test against the jQuery (edge)
version to ensure the issue still exists.

Just to be sure, there is a difference between the non-public jQuery.clone() method, which jQuery uses internally, and jQuery.fn.clone() which is documented here: http://api.jquery.com/clone

Because we get so many tickets, we often need to return them to the initial reporter for more information.
