Description
In an input box after event is triggered extra vertical space not reduced by regex replace(/\s+/g , " "); though text jumps in front with single space.

Thanks for submitting a ticket to the jQuery Project. I'm not sure why the Trac-O-Bot missed this, but it's been 4 weeks and we haven't received back a valid test case here that allows us to push further in evaluating what is being reported. As per our guidelines, this ticket is being closed as it's been longer than 2 weeks without a response. If the original ticket submitter is able to provide us with a working, reduced test case as requested we'll of course investigate further.
Please follow the bug reporting guidlines and use jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
Thanks for your time and interest in helping out with the jQuery project, but this is not a valid bug report. We require that all tickets have a valid and reproducible test case on jsFiddle in order for us to audit the issue. What you've placed here does not even include any Javascript or jQuery! If you can build a testcase that duplicates the error you've described here, we will be happy to take a look at it.
