Description
I like the jQuery team to consider packaging a debugging utility in the next release. I would like to be able to manually and programmatically enable the debugger. The last part of this request is only doable if the jQuery team consents. That is have "built-in" debugger support within the jQuery language. I think a great majority of jQuery programmers would benefit from its use. In turn, it would help promote the library and differentiate itself in the marketplace.

I believe what you are looking for is Firebug (or Firebug Lite) and possibly FireQuery.
