Description
I'm reporting this because I'm a great fan of JQuery but I'm well aware that this bug is in an embedded environment, not commonly accessible to most web developers and thus probably falls outside the purview of your bug-reporting.
Basically, Jquery seems to work fine for manipulation generally but any attempt to use Jquery for manipulation within event-handling code (in this instance, keyboard events) results in a completely silent fail, hanging the entire web-app. I've had to go back to using the classic DOM API inside my event-handling code.
What's most bizarre is that this silent fail doesn't raise ANY kind of exception at all, so I can't trap the fail.

_comment0: | We're sorry, but jQuery currently makes no attempts to solve issues in the hbbtv browser. We usually accept reasonable patches from people who have fixed issues in unsupported browsers, but we cannot dedicate time to them, currently. Thanks! → 1288974130621167 |

Maybe you should not have mentioned HBBTV, then they would have fixed it ;-)
