jquery freezes the browser

Click on the "Manual" button , then on the buttons that will appear

This app works in Internet Explorer 8 and when it was made, at the begining of the year , worked also in Firefox 2.x

Now, in FF 3.5 +, Opera 10.53, Safari 4.0.4, Chrome 6.0.472.33 beta, it freezes the browser

I have updated the jquery versino from 1.4.0 to 1.4.2 but te issue remains

I repeat, it worked in FF 2.x

Please ask for help on the forum. If it turns out there is a bug in jQuery, reopen a new ticket with a specific description of the bug.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
