OnChnage event firing incorrectly in IE8

Description
In IE8, the "onchange" event is firing even when a dropdown list is just clicked.
On my site this seems to be happening only when the dropdown list contains a value other than zero.
Have had to revert back to 1.3.2.

Should be fixed by this commit for 1.4.1:
