not possible to change option of validate more than on time

one time a form is submitted it's not possible a second time to change validate option : in query.validate.js we have this :*

var validator = $.data(this[0], 'validator'); if ( validator ) {

return validator;

}

why it's not possible to submit validate one time with option like this : .validate({ignore:"ignore"}).form()

and a second time .validate().form()
