unrecognized expression after jquery update to 1.3.1

After I upgrade to Jquery.1.3.1 , I received this error in my code

uncaught exception: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [@id*=CountryIdentifier_]  http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.1/jquery.min.js Line 12

Try it without @ in the selector, it is deprecated from 1.3.

Yes, @ is no longer allowed.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
