Description

I know this is a google issue, not a jquery website issue, but i'm sure you have someone you cal talk to at least about it ...

 http://www.whatsmyip.org/mod_gzip_test/?url=aHR0cDovL2FqYXguZ29vZ2xlYXBpcy5jb20vYWpheC9saWJzL2pxdWVyeS8xLjMvanF1ZXJ5Lm1pbi5qcw==

Additionally, Google has provided us with a copy of jQuery hosted on their servers. This copy of jQuery is automatically minified and gzipped - and served from Google’s fast edge cache severs.

I am going to assume that the tool you are using to detect gzipped is faulty. If you load jQuery up from Google and inspect the file with Firebug on the Net tab it shows it as being gzipped.

Yeah, it is gzipped.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
