selectors don't work properly

Description

selector [attribute*=value] doesn't find elements..

checked on Firefox 3.05 and IE 6

I'm going to need a test case here. It works in all of my tests. Make sure that you don't have an @ in your selector. Please re-open if you come up with a test case.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
