$.auto() should be optomized

Description

Only do $.auto() when absolutely necessary (e.g. for non-custom resizing, and only then, for a show)

This has been improved as best as possible.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
