This is the patch I'd apply, just in case, I made an svn blame and found  this.

It seems I'd be pretty much reverting to an older revision, which is probably going to cause regressions.

John, could do take a look ?

While that patch did resolve this specific issue, it caused the test suite to fail. I looked in to it more and did a new technique that seems to work for both the test suite and this specific test case. Fixed in SVN rev [6146].

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
