UI.Sortable update not firing when using jquery-1.3b2.js

Description

Event update seems not work in both browsers (Safari / Firefox), in both UI versions (1.6rc4 & 1.5.3) when using jquery-1.3b2.js

Both works when I switch to 1.2.6

I've passed this along to the UI team.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
