Metadata plugin: Disable caching option is missing

Description

Hi,

Assigning new metadata e.g. through an ajax call is without effect due to the caching, which unfortunately is hardcoded in the metadata plugin.

An option Chaching: true/false would be nice to see and easy to implement.

Please file plugin bugs with the appropriate author on their bug tracker.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
