Maybe one should add a possibility to change the scriptCharset option of the ajax request

There is no scriptCharset option. If you are referring to the dataType option, you can already specify that.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
