[validate] Opera and textarea tag

Description

Validate doesn't work correctly in Opera 9.50 for textarea. With or without any options validate gives the message 'Please enter no more than 0 characters'. With previous versions of jquery works fine. You can check the problem on the  Demo Page using the newest (1.2.6) version of jquery instead 1.2.4 which works correctly.

Fixed in 1.4.

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
