fadeIn doesn't 'fade' in Safari 3.0.2

Description

In Safari 3.0.2 fadeIn() shows the element with the specified delay without transition

Tested with packed and unpacked jQuery 1.1.3 and 1.1.3.1

 Minimised test case

Untested in Safari 2

Fixed in SVN rev [2430].

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
