in iexplorer, when I have a background image, animations of other divs run non smoothly

Description
vegas plugin managing a fullscreen background slideshow + animate some css property of some other divs works properly in moz and chrome while in internet explorer 8-9 any kind of div animation runs not smoothly (unusable)

If you require assistance with your code, please make a post in either the official jQuery Forums or on our #jquery channel on freenode. Should you be able to establish that the issue you are seeing is in fact related to core and can be reduced, we will me more than happy to investigate further at that point.
