Description
I noticed in IE8 that the X-Requested-With header is not set (for a same-domain-ajax-request).
It seems that the minification breaks the logic - at least in IE8, didn't test it in any other IE version.
After literally hours of breaking my head why IE8 doesn't set the header I downloaded the uncompressed 1.7.1 library and was surprised to see it working right away.
the code i used:
$.ajax('/path/to/html', success: function(){...});
