I was looking for a split function... if you search for "split" in the documentation, you get redirected to:

 http://docs.jquery.com/Split

There is only some uncomplete french text - without jQuery code. o0

By the way... is there a split function planned? ;)

Perhaps you're looking for slice.  http://api.jquery.com/slice/

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
