Jquery slider option value not working in Crome,Mozilla

Description

Hi , I am trying to set the Jquery slider position at runtime using the below code

$('#slider_showers').slider("option", "value","10");

it perfectly work in IE but really failing in Chrome,Mozilla

Please let me know the solution ASAP

Please follow the  bug reporting guidlines and use  jsFiddle when providing test cases and demonstrations instead of pasting the code in the ticket.
