 ause my form to submit\, which I found odd. So I attached an event handler
  listening for the enter key to submit the form and that was all good. I t
 ested this in IE\, and found that the form submitted twice! It turns out t
 hat this is because jQuery normalizes bubbling on the submit event in brow
 sers that don't support it\, so when my listener for the enter key picked 
 it up\, it submitted the form\, and so did jQuery.\nThe only solution (I c
 an see) is to stop event propagation on the input fields\, and manually tr
 igger the submit\, which is fine I guess. But enter usually makes forms su
 bmit\, I knew something was up. It turned out that forms not containing a 
 submit button will not submit when you press enter. The button cannot be h
 idden by CSS.\nUnless <form>s should specifically include a submit button\
 , I assume this is a browser bug.\nI made a simple test form '''with''' a 
 submit button\, and what I discovered surprised me a little (not too much 
 :P). Pressing enter in a text field will cause the submit button's click e
 vent to fire! This occurs before the submit event on the form\, so returni
 ng false will stop the form from submitting. These factors lead me to beli
 eve that the listener for the enter key triggers a click on the submit but
 ton\, and not a submit on the form\, which doesn't make sense to me.\nI br
 iefly looked at the W3C spec\, and all I could find was this:\n{{{\nsubmit

 ll\, but except Opera...\nPerhaps this needs to be looked into or reported
  to Opera?

DESCRIPTION:I am sure this ticket will be invalidated because it is hard to
  prove that JQuery is too blame. But I have a thread going with Infragisti

 They are telling me this is likely a JQuery bug. The problem still occurs 
 in JQuery 1.7.2. Even if it is an issue with Infragistics code\, there doe
 s seem to be evidence that widgets designed and working against JQuery 1.4
 .4 can no longer use event delegation in JQuery 1.7.  So something must ha
 ve changed. It doesn't seem possible to simply port delegate syntax to the
  new .on() syntax in some cases\, and the delegate syntax can stop working
 . That could be something worth looking into.\nThis may keep me from upgra
 ding to 1.7\, because I can achieve delegated event behavior with Infragis
 tics in JQuery 1.4.4\, or as the Infragistics guy suggests\, I have to sti
 ck to direct event binding only. \nI am sure I didn't follow all the rules
 \, so feel free to close the ticket\, but I wanted to bring this to your a
 ttention\, and felt like this would get lost on a forum.

  on blackberry and I can't get jquery to set them on the element.\nMy curr
 ent workaround: set the relevant css with attr('style'\, 'overflow: hidden
 ') which seems to work\, but requires us not touching the css for that ele
 ment in the code again or it will decompose again to overflow-x and overfl
 ow-y.

DESCRIPTION:In an ajax success\, I used 1 $.each for one array and another 
 $.each within the first each for a second array that depended upon the fir
 st.  Using the exact same code\, $.height() worked outside of the second $
 .each but not in.\nThe element was statically created in the html.  It's p
 arent is position:relative.  It is display:table.  The parent's parent is 
 a UI accordion.\n$.height kept returning 0 for this element within the sec
 ond $.each.\nThank-you.
